Wrapping up the Welsh Kickstarter - end of June 2022

We are pleased to say that May 2022 has been quiet regarding the shipping of pledges. As we enter June 2022, two months since pledges started leaving Footsore HQ, we think it is safe to start considering the project as "done". With this in mind, we will be closing out the pledge manager at the end of June 2022. This action gives the last handful of backers three and a half weeks to complete their pledges if they choose. Be aware, that closing out the pledge manager will finalise this project.

What shall I do if I have an issue?

If there is an issue with your pledge, we actively encourage you to contact us, Footsore Miniatures & Games, for any reason. Contact us via email at [email protected]. Please share as much detail as possible, who you are, your order number, if you have it and how we can help you. All will be useful information, and we will do our very best to work through any issues with you.

Welsh Supplement Book PDF

Hopefully, you will have all received your free Welsh Supplement Book PDF for The Barons' War rules? If not, check your email (and spam) as it has been sent out to you. If you find nothing there, please comment below, and we will do our best to sort this out with you.

We are looking forward to seeing your Welsh retinues on the tabletop for both settings.

And finally, we would like to say just how much we value your support for the Welsh, especially as this is only our second Kickstarter. As ever, with Kickstarter, this project has only been a success because of your backing, something which is very much appreciated and not taken lightly. 

We have had lots of calls already for us to do another project, and if we do, what would you like to see? Answers on a postcard or via messenger would be very interesting to read, indeed!

Welsh Retinue List for The Barons' War & Conquest

We made the Welsh PDF available via BackerKIt at the beginning of the week and it seems that it didn't notify backers. If you log in to pledge manager your copy of the PDF should be waiting for you to download.

 We are looking forward to seeing your games of The Barons' War featuring the Welsh real soon.

We are very pleased to be able to say that all completed pledges have shipped out from Footsore HQ.  If you have not received an email confirming shipping please check your spam folder.

With the furthest countries shipped first, boxes containing Welsh should be arriving at their destinations all around the globe.  It has been great to see pictures posted in The Barons' War Facebook group of pledges arriving with backers...

If you are still waiting for your package, please give it a chance to arrive with you.  If concerned about your pledge please do not hesitate to contact us at Footsore Miniatures & Games using the email address [email protected].  Please provide your name and other details as we will want to resolve this for you as soon as we can.

Rules for the Welsh in The Barons' War & Conquest

As part of the Kickstarter, we promised we would include rules for the Welsh to be used in both early and high medieval (Conquest & The Barons' War) settings.

We are very pleased to say these have been written and are currently going through the process of a final edit before we send a digital copy out to all backers. We had hoped to have a PDF completed by the end of April to arrive in your inbox at the same time as your pledge arrived at your door, however, it is currently looking like we still have a couple of weeks of work to do.  Apologies for this delay, a copy will be with you by mid-May 2022.

Finally, although the title of this update is "And that's it!' we don't consider this Kickstarter to be a success until everyone receives their pledge.  If you have any challenges during the next few weeks while waiting for your package to arrive please get in touch and we will do our best to help you.

Hello, everyone apologies for the radio silence but to be brutely honest we have been so busy making packs of Welsh we hadn't realised our last update was back at the end of January, sorry!

Shipping of Welsh Pledges

Every single pack you have pledged for is ready and part of a special Welsh pick face full of stock here at Footsore HQ.  April is our month for picking, packing and dispatching Welsh and so far it has been just that!

The eagle-eyed among you may notice in the above picture label rolls of SKU codes?  The main feedback we received during the fulfilment of The Barons' War Kickstarters for Paul and Andy was none of the packs had codes so we thought we would make sure ours had them. We think it makes a big difference.

At the time of writing, we have started to send out Rest of the World pledges. Sending those with the furthest distance to travel first makes good sense to us.  Below is a picture of the initial batch leaving Footsore HQ.

Emails!!

When your pledge ships, you should receive a shipping notification email. It may take a little while before this is received, so please be patient if you don't receive an update for what seems like an age. We are well on the way to having everyone's pledge picked and shipped on time. Shipping emails will most likely land towards the end of April 2022.  Once shipped the pledge manager will be updated.

So in closing, exciting times are ahead this month. We will update you as further progress is made and as more and more pledges leave Footsore HQ.  As always, if you have any questions, please comment below or drop us a message and we will do our very best to answer you promptly.

Happy New Year and an update on how things are progressing!

A very (belated) Happy New Year to everyone! As this is our first update of 2022 we still wanted to wish you all the best for this coming year.

As you are probably aware we locked all completed pledges at midnight on the last day of 2021.  2022 is all about manufacturing and despatching your Welsh pledges, with our target date being by the end of April 2022.

After pledges were locked we added all the freebies.  The following have now been included in your pledge if you qualified.

Although we all like free figures, the main thrust of this update today is to let you know how we are getting along with the overall production. The total number of individual packs that are needed is around 12,000. You will be pleased to know production started in earnest the first week back after the new year.

We currently have one of our casting machines spinning welsh moulds all day every day. After a day of casting everything produced is packed, boxed and stored ready.

The first step of our plan is to produce all the stock, storing it safely in preparation for picking and packing pledges.  Each individual box of stock is being quality assured to make sure castings are of good quality. 

We were able to recycle the storage boxes we used to fulfil the last 'Hobday & Hicks, The Barons' War Kickstarter'.  Having done all the production for them provided us with lots of experience for our own. 

With the amount of Welsh figures we are currently producing we are supremely confident that we will have everyone's pledges out of the door by the end of April 2022.

Although it is early days in the production cycle we are supremely confident that we are on track to deliver.  In the meantime, if you have any questions please pop them below in the comments and we will answer them as soon as we can. For now stay safe, everyone.
